Hey pandariders!

We’ve heard your feedback and we’re here to make a change – you’ve asked to be compensated fairly for longer travel, to have the ability to choose which order to accept and to have complete transparency on how much you can make per order. So we’ve decided to give our pandariders an upgrade. ?

*Factors we consider:
Distance

Time
Acceptance Rate
Batch
  1. The more you travel, the more you make – we understand that some orders are farther than others, and we want to fairly incentivize our riders for their exceptional effort
  2. You can see how much you can make per order – we want you to know how much each order can bring you. The amount reflected on your app is based on distance, vehicle type, zone, time of day, acceptance rate and batch.
  3. You have the power to choose which orders to accept – the freedom is all yours! But use this feature wisely, as this may affect your batch incentive.
  4. Better performing riders have higher fees – Our best performing riders get the highest incentives. The higher your batch, the higher your $$$

Batch System and Incentive

To make sure that our most dedicated riders are treated fairly, we will be ranking them into batches based on certain criteria. Your batch number determines the session booking and service fees category you’ve been placed into, with Batch 1 receiving the highest dockets and being the first batch to book their sessions. Your scoring/evaluation period will be weekly which means that you can move up a batch faster. Click here to learn more about your payment cycle.

For any questions or concerns regarding the Dynamic Service Fee scheme, you can submit a ticket via Roadrunner > Rider Support.

Frequently Asked Questions

What factors are taken into account when computing my Dynamic Service fee?

We want to compensate our riders in the fairest way possible. With the Dynamic Service fee, we take into account the distance you travelled, your vehicle type, the zone and time of your deliveries, acceptance rate and your batch.

Will I receive any vehicle type and zone incentives?

Yes, your incentive is automatically calculated in the Dynamic Service fees based on your vehicle type and the zone you’re delivering in. You can view your additional weekly Quest Incentives and Surge Fees here.

Will I still get Quest Incentives?

Yes! Quest Incentives and Surge Fees are updated weekly. View them here.

Can I reject orders?

Yes, you can decline the order on the upper righthand corner of the screen as seen in the example above. However, take note that this will affect your Acceptance Rate. Rejecting orders will affect how fast we can deliver to our customers and an angry customer orders less from foodpanda. We want to keep our customers happy, so we highly encourage you to accept orders when on session.

Will my batch be affected if I reject an order?

Yes. Learn more about your Rider Batch criteria here.

When will I receive my service fees?

How will I know how much I made for the week? Where should I look?

You can see your service fees weekly tabulation in your “payments” tab in your rider app. Click here to learn how to use it.

Will I be compensated for cancelled orders?

Yes, you will still be paid a service fee for canceled orders. The fee will be calculated based on the distance traveled to pick up.

How is distance calculated?

The distance is calculated using Google Maps from 15 August 2023 (4pm) onwards, which is a precise, fair, and accurate system that calculates the most efficient route taking into account the real time traffic.

What happens in the event there are multiple equally efficient routes?

In the event of multiple equally efficient routes Google assigns their preferred option based on their internal system.
